We had several beautiful snowfall this winter in Salem. These photos were taken at Salem's large, 8-acre public park which has been a common area since the Seventeenth Century. The bandstand at the Common was constructed in 1926 in commemoration of the city's Tercentennial. This finely proportioned bandstand was designed in Colonial Revival style, domed and temple-like. The Commons are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
